My trip to Nicaragua is a humbling experience that will make you realize how blessed you are to be living in the United States. The hospital system here is championed by hard working clinicians who rely on their physical exam skills and intuition rather then unnecessary and expensive imaging and labs. As a 4th year medical student I was treated like an intern and was given full autonomy with seeing patients. Interacting with the medical students and reviewing patient charts improved my medical Spanish knowledge exponentially. I can’t wait to come back!

Clinical Work
We partner with Nicaraguan practitioners under their supervision to provide direct care to patients with permission from the Ministry of Health.
Ultrasound
We donate and coordinate training for the use of portable ultrasound in many clinical applications from the ER, to the ICU, to obstetrics, and more.
Training and Education
Everything we do is focused on education and training for our Nicaraguan participants. This impact is stronger and longer lasting than the work we do on any specific trip.

Our most pressing need is for the transport of ultrasound machines from America to Nicaraguan hospitals, and any donation will help make an impact. 100% of all donations to our 501(c)(3) organization (tax-deductible) are used for implementing our projects. None of the donations are used to support the American participants.
